just a quick outfit post... had a pretty rough day and am in serious need of r&r.
wearing: vintage leopard print vest, kill city crop top, UO light wash denim stretch skirt, target socks, nine west buckle boots.
pretty cool: my last look was featured on lookbook's TUMBLR and also on my friend ned's TUMBLR. check out both of them, especially ned's- he is hysterical and too witty for his own good.

today i attempted to call animal control twice for two separate reasons, and reached a message both times letting me know that they were no longer in business due to state budget cuts. i could write an entire novel on how incredibly wrong, horrible, and unspeakable i think this is, but i will refrain. living in ignorance is what most people (including myself) do on a daily basis- but more than occasionally i get reminders of how cruel and horrible the human race is and continues to be... and i'm simply writing this to hopefully remind you that there are very helpless and desperate animals that need help, and instead of buying a few cups of coffee or a new shirt, you could make a small monthly donation to the ASPCA. los angeles experienced a 1.8 million dollar budget cut in the animal control system, and it is definitely taking it's toll (obviously- the entire call center is SHUT DOWN)
anyway, me and a ton of sweet animals would be totally appreciative if you could donate anything.

I love that you wrote about this. I don't have any experience with this, but it sounds like a major problem and I can only hope that people take notice.
Anyways, you look absolutely fabulous as always and I definitely wore one of the shirts you sent me and had to restrain myself from taking a picture in it. I can't wait to post the stuff you send, so adorable!

Love your pictures and I know exactly how you feel about the animal control situation. People in my area have continually dumped their cats out in the streets when management found they were illegally keeping them (you have to pay an extra securtiy deposit to have a cat). Most of the time they haven't been fixed and now their numbers have grown. Unfortunately not many shelters out here are a no kill shelter and the ones that are aren't taking in cats unless they're kittens. Its always amazing just how cruel some people can be (the pet deserters no the shelters)
